News is the core of a News-Talk station. We have affiliations with National Networks such at AP Radio News, Independent Radio News, and ABC. We also have affiliations with the Texas State Network which specializes in the stories for and about Texas. But the people of Brownwood and the surrounding area are turning more and more to our Local and Area News for the stories that affect them and their neighbors.

Our anchor Jesse Jones has been delivering news since he began radio in January 1970 in Abilene. Since then, even while in management, he has kept his finger in the news departments in markets like Fort Worth and San Antonio. He brings a "fact based" attitude to the news, in the tradition that tries not to "take sides" or positions - presenting both sides of an issue over time if not in the same newscast.
